Kukio Resort is the Big Island's only private residential golf country club. It was crafted by Discovery Land Company, arguably the most sought after developer of luxury residential golf communities in the world today. Many of the wealthiest and most powerful people in the country have become members, and based on this, security at Kukio is tantamount.

Kukio features the only golf courses in the state of Hawaii conceived by Tom Fazio, considered by many the greatest living golf designer. The spa and the amenities are second to none providing unparalleled personal attention to your every need.

Unlike its neighbor, Hualalai Resort with the Four Seasons Hotel, Kukio does not have a hospitality (hotel) component. Everyone on property is either an owner or their guest.

Kukio's Phases

Kukio is comprised of 3 sections:

• The original core or Main Campus is approximately 330 acres. It contains the bulk of the amenities: spa, restaurant, beach club, and 10-hole short course. All the Cottages, Hales and Villas lie within the Main Campus.
• The second phase, Maniniowale, adds an adjacent 300+- acres. It sits directly above and is set back 1,500 feet from Kua Bay, one of Kohala Coast's magnificent crescent white sand beaches. It features homesites looking down over the bay.
• The final phase, Kaupulehu, features oceanfront and second tier lots and a common amenity.

Like its traditional mainland counterparts, access to Kukio's amenities is for members-only. At full build-out, there will be approximately 385 memberships of which approximately a half have been committed to date.

Due to its private nature, Kukio Resort does not offer its properties to the general real estate brokerage community or the Multiple Listing Service (MLS).
